Fallon & Mike ~ An Unbelievable Couple, Family and Wedding

I don't even know where to start with Fallon and Mike...They are simply amazing, from the first time I met them(I feel like I say this alot), we had a connection. I knew that their wedding was going to be a blast, but I really didn't know how much of a blast. Fallon had her vision from the get-go, picked the coolest album that I offer, wanted my "A-Team" of photogs, and was sooooo into her photographs. And, then there was Mike, he really just wanted to make his girl smile, which he can do quite easily.

I adored every minute of this wedding, from the bustle of getting ready, to the flower girls playing patty-cake under the kitchen table, to the very last dance. Even after shooting for 10 plus hours, you might think that I'd be exhausted...but, it was the opposite. I was so charged from an amazing vibe, that I couldn't wind down AT ALL!

Fallon, Mike..you rock, your families rock and I wish you nothing more than the best of happiness. cheers...neil

Katelyn & Derek - Central Park E-Session

I LOOOOVE it when the weather completely surprises me! I'm constantly being my own weather-man, always checking out the sky to see what kind of light is going to 'happen' on any given day. Katelyn, Derek and I scheduled an early December shoot, preparing for scarves, hats and cuddling close to stay warm and get some cute shots. Little did we expect a 55 degree, abundantly sunny Sunday morning! When we met up, we simply walked around the park with no agenda, no real destination, just wanted to get to know each other a bit more and grab some cool photos....it was perfect.

Katelyn & Derek...thanks for the stroll in the park;o)!

Right behind me in this shot was a crowd of people listening to a beautiful acapella group signing Amazing Grace...sent chills just listening and enjoying...

Amanda, Chip and their families are some of the most gracious people I've ever met...yet another case of true love of 2 people bringing together amazing families. I always get a good read on a day within the first 30 seconds of entering a bridal suite..you know, the whole 'first impression' thing. When I arrived to start shooting, Amanda and her girls filled the room with such warmth and true happiness, it turned out to be an awesome day. Ceremony was beautiful, party was fantastic--and, I actually even got in front of the camera for a couple of shots. Amanda, Chip...thank you for being awesome;o)

To say that I was honored to be at the Wedding of Christina & Bryan is an understatement. I've actually known the two of them for sometime...and have seen true love since day one(even when they didn't tell me that they were in love;o).

I did everything I could to make it to their wedding, a Monday in August. My second son was born just days before, my gorgeous wife, toddler and newborn relying on me to be by their side...but, Julie,(the aforementioned wife;o) said to me, "hon, you need to be there for them and tell them I send my love". So, with Julie's blessing and a little bit of espresso, I headed to Bryan and Christina's house for their wedding.

Bryan and Chrissy--when I was editing your photos, it is the definition of what two people in love look like. Congrats and more than the best of wishes for everything you do.

We had an AWESOME day back in June...2 different locations..first location was a very cool field in Brookfield, CT, then we trekked down to an awesome view of Manhattan from the Long Island side of town.

Kim & Ben - Sono Engagement Session

Now...I usually try to have as many good days as possible, but, every now and again, a bad day sneaks in there. The night that Kim, Ben and myself picked for their engagement had been one of those 'bad days' for the 3 of us. Car accidents, administrative 'stuff', traffic...

After thoroughly reviewing each other's daily duties over a Wednesday afternoon Guinness, we set off for a little peace and quiet. We found it..with the occasional Metro North train rattling overhead.

Kim and Ben's wedding is just a couple of weeks away and I've literally been looking forward to their wedding from the moment we met. They are a sincere and genuine couple that I'm happy to have crossed paths with. Here's a few shots that are going into their guestbook that I'm designing for their wedding.

That's what Sara, Yanni & myself were doing on their engagement session. It was chilly this April!
I've known Sara for a few years through mutual friends and I was totally flattered when she told me that she wanted me to photograph her and Yanni's wedding this fall!
Sara & Yanni have been together for a few years and you can tell... They have the kind of comfort together that comes with history...but also such an exciting time in their relationship getting ready to make it 'official'. Thanks guys! I was happy to pretend it was mid summer too...cheers to an awesome wedding in the fall. .

BTW...it was SUPER cold for this shoot..but they totally wanted something that looked like summer! I even managed to step into the water for a few good angles.

Looking forward to October!

I met Courtney & Matt last year, we clicked instantly and I was so happy to be a part of their day. Although not my first wedding of 2011, I considered their wedding the first of the "season". Christina & Bryan - Engagement Session

I'd like to say that I've been there since the beginning of these two...well, not quite the very beginning, but close enough. Bryan is my co-shooter on a bunch of weddings and Christina is our lovely assistant. Basically, I consider the 3 of us together the A-Team, always fun, always creative, and always delivering kick-a$$ images.

Bryan & Christina also happen to be little lovebirds and they're making it official this summer. Needless to say, I was excited to see them in FRONT of the camera..rather than BEHIND it. Here's a few shots from a rainy/misty morning along the Branford, CT shoreline.

Jessica & Alex ~ Queens Engagement Session

A couple of the reasons why I fell in love with photography is being able to have an excuse to go somewhere that i haven't yet been...and being able to 'randomly' meet new people. I always find some sort of common thread with the people that I'm working with..introducing, Jessica & Alex.

What we had in common is that we all LOVE the snow and playing outside;o). They were totally excited for a winter portrait and we've definitely had some good winter this year! Right off the bat, Jessica and Alex were so natural in front of the camera. The way Jessica looks at Alex when Alex was looking into the camera was so damn sweet...just another one of those couples who totally belong together.

We went for a snowy walk @ Flushing Meadows Park in Queens--a great alternative to heading into Manhattan simply because NO-ONE was at the park, and it was a gorgeous day!

Thanks Jessica & Alex for giving me an excuse to take a walk in the snow and visit a new spot;o)

Allie & Mike - Westchester Wedding

So...I love shooting weddings..and interiors/architecture...and then beyond that, I shoot quite a bit of portraiture too. Essentially...I'll photograph anything/anyone that's going to dig my style, and appreciate the way I see the light and capture personality. I recently did a couple of 'business' headshots for a few folks. They are all using their images for their websites, Facebook and LinkedIn pages. Nothing says 'professional' than actually getting your photograph taken by a professional.

Brooke picked an awesome winter day for her and Mike's wedding! When I met with the happy couple last year, Brooke had her fingers crossed for a snowy winter....and....yes, as an understatement, we've had some snow(i happen to love snow..my first 'assignment' shoot years ago was in a snow storm;o)

Anyways...despite the snow affecting their rehearsal the evening before, their wedding day was awesome. I'm so happy that Brooke and Mike are married..they truly compliment eachother. Here's a few shots from their day;o)

I simply love it when two people get together and simply bring out the best in eachother...Brooke & Mike are the epitome of that! The way Brooke looks at Mike is sooo sweet and Mike wants nothing more than to make Brooke smile.

We met up in Central Park on a VERY busy day in the Fall...there were a TON of people around, especially on the bridges that Brooke wanted to shoot on. Thank goodness for Photoshop;o)

Chrystal & Todd - Brooklyn Engagement Session

Firstly...I am SOOOO excited to head to Miami this April to shoot Chrystal and Todd's BIG DAY! I've known Chrystal for some time now and I was really honored when she asked me to photograph their wedding.

This session was kind of the 'typical' dynamic...bride wanting to get dressed up and 'play model' for a little while..and the groom..well, let's just say that he wasn't as excited as Chrystal was for the shoot.

Fast forward 15 minutes into the shoot and Todd definitely seemed like he started to enjoy himself. After all, who wouldn't with a beauty like Chrystal by his side. Up until this day, I simply knew Todd as Chrystal's fiance', and after the shoot, I was happy that I got to know Todd for who he is. This is EXACTLY what an E-Session is about...all of us getting to know eachother and connecting. It was a date for 3 as we strolled around Todd's apartment. It was actually raining for some of the shoot, and then the sun broke towards sunset and we got some killer images!

Here's to seeing you two in Miami!!

We connected instantly and their wedding totally rocked...and now, the connection is plus one little one..Thomas. Meghan & Greg...or..as their friends call them..Megh-ory. Meghan called me in 2009 and said.."your website brought tears to my eyes". At that moment, I knew I'd love to capture their wedding day! Not to mention, I take any chance I can to head up to the Rhode Island beaches. Kathy & Nick : A Harlem Engagement Session

I met Kathy at a bridal show that I attended in NYC this fall and was so glad that we found each other. Being at any sort of trade show...it's usually a TON of people and a LOT of choices. Whenever I attend one, I meet a lot of people, and it's awesome to make a quick connection and meet up afterwards to confirm that first impression.

Unfortunately, I'm actually booked for their wedding out in Utah..I can't even imagine how cool it's going to be. I was psyched to at least get to know them a bit for their e-session.

Anyways...got some cool spots around their apartment in Harlem, and some nice light;o)

Jessica and Bryan...so, I admit it, I get sentimental sometimes, and this was one of those marriages that really tugged at my heart strings. Personally written vows that just bring a tear to your eye and makes you happy that you were invited to see it all happen! Another Gorgeous Fall Beach Day

Jen and her family live in MA, I live in CT, we met in RI...any chance I get to shoot up to the Rhode Island beaches, I jump at it. We landed on a beautiful late October day with an amazing blue sky. Not to mention, Emily was super cute...and the rest of the family just hung out in the background. It was great seeing Jen--Jenneh--as we call her..it's hard to believe we've been friends for more than 15 years!

The Wedding Salon

Recovering from a really busy night at The Wedding Salon Bridal Show at the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC last night. I've been to quite a few bridal shows, and this one is TOPS. There happens to be a lot of, let's call it, cheese out there, but The Wedding Salon shows are anything but!

Any kind of 'trade' show is a lot of work..and I'm always nervous going into them, kind of like pre-show jitters. But, at the end of the night, it's so wonderful when I've met people, if only for a couple of minutes, that I really vibed with. That's what it's all about., good vibes.

Up Too Late!

My first weekend without my camera in some time now...spent the whole weekend with family and friends;o) It's always great to take a rest from behind the lens, it refreshes my eye, both literally and figuratively! Whenever I take a little break from shooting, I always miss it...always seeing gorgeous lighting, cool shadows, and usually remarking--this would be an awesome day to shoot. Julie's happy to have me close by working in the studio or at home..and when Beckett asks, "do you want to play trains with me?"..I get to say yes.

Even though I wasn't shooting, I'm prepping for an awesome week. Wedding Salon show tomorrow and then editing some great projects that I've shot over the past couple of days/weeks. In the meantime, here's a few favs from a warm fall day at the beach.
